Family trip to Kona

Juan and I have a goal to make it to Hawaii, where Juan is from, once a year for a family trip and to get good use out of our Four Seasons comp nights.  It usually ends up being closer to every other year.  We really wanted to go this year but were quite nervous about how everything was going to go down with the baby- esp. the flight! All was well, he was a champ.  The flight there was a ton of work.  He didn't go down to take a long nap as hoped but we bribed someone to trade us seats so we could have our own row. We let Skyler crawl many, many laps up and down the aisle. Here are some highlights of the trip.

I think this picture pretty hilarious...

Doesn't this look straight out of a magazine?
Incredible.

Christmas

Juan ended up having to work on Christmas so we decided to have everyone over for Christmas breakfast and presents, then do dinner later.  The breakfast was pancakes, strata, biscuits, and (turkey) bacon.  My folks are very conservative with food and we were surprised that they didn't realize it was turkey bacon.

Skyler didn't really get the present opening- though everyone says next year will be the fun year at Christmas.  He found one toy that he loved and wanted nothing to do with anything else.

I made my mom a calendar of Skyler this year, which she loved!  It was originally going to be of the entire family but I realized that I hardly have any photos of my parents and brother.  Christmas day is a great day to get some new family pics as they feel bad saying 'no' to me on Christmas!  A few highlights of the day:

Hmmm....what shall I have for breakfast?

Another hat?

Toys, now we're talking!

A rare pic with uncle Jim.  All smiles.

Loving that walker.

Here are a few of the family photo shots.
